Summer Enrichment Camp 2026 America 250

Our Summer Enrichment Camp for 2026 was themed America 250.  In celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary, students explore American history, Virginia heritage, civic engagement, creativity, and the people and places that have shaped our community and country.

Through interactive projects, local connections, creative challenges, and collaborative activities, students experience history beyond the textbook. Students had opportunities to investigate the past, explore the stories of their community, celebrate American innovation and traditions, and consider how their own ideas and actions can help shape the future.

Building on Floyd County Public Schools’ commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities beyond the traditional school year, the America 250 Summer Enrichment Camp brings together history, civics, community partnerships, and student-centered learning in a memorable summer experience. As our nation celebrates 250 years, students are invited not only to learn about America’s story—but to recognize that they are part of what comes next. 

We had another great year and can't wait for next year's camp!
